An exhasuting list of scriptures that help me overcome seasons of laziness and procrastination.

Etymology

From Middle English slogarde, probably ultimately of Old Norse origin. Equivalent to slug +‎ -ard(“pejorative agent suffix”).

Noun sluggard (plural sluggards)

  1. A person who is lazy, stupid, or idle by habit.

  2. A person slow to begin necessary work, a slothful person.

  3. A fearful or cowardly person, a poltroon.


Proverbs 20:13 (NIV)
13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.

Proverbs 20:4 (NIV)
4 Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.
